Professor Godwin Onu was born over fifty-five (55) years ago at Ezira community, in Orumba South LGA. He is married to a wonderful wife and blessed with gorgeous children.
The erudite Professor of Political Science had his primary education in Community Primary School, Ezira and his secondary education at All Saints Grammar School Umunze.

Onu Bows Out As Rector Fed.Poly Oko, Advocates Alternative Public Power Supply For Tertiary Institutions

The Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Professor Godwin Onu, has called for a special fund to be made available to Tertiary Institutions to generate their own electricity through wastes as an alternative public power supply.

Professor Onu, who made the call at the Polytechnic during a public lecture to mark the end of his tenure, believes that such would help solve the perennial power problem being faced in the country.
The Rector stated that the large amount of human and material wastes being generated at the Institution, when properly channeled, could provide the electricity needs of the academic community and its environs, even at a cheaper rate.Otuu Obinna
